Facility Expansions

Anthony, the Sylmar, Calif., maker of glass doors, lighting systems and display equipment for commercial refrigeration systems, has opened a new manufacturing plant in Conyers, Ga. The new facility adds 130,000 sq. ft. of production capacity to complement Anthony’s facilities in Sylmar; Madison, Ga.; and Shanghai.

Anthony Pres. Craig Little said the expansion is aimed at providing optimum service to customers. “The opening of the Conyers facility also helps Anthony satisfy one of its strategic initiatives, which is to grow the Anthony brand. This next step in Anthony’s growth will also help the company continue to produce and provide products for its expanding customer base that enhance merchandising, ensure food safety and protect the environment.”

Anthony was acquired by Dover in 2012; it is part of the company’s Refrigeration & Food Equipment division.

T&S Brass and Bronze Works has opened a new production and distribution facility in Pudong New District, Shanghai.

“We literally outgrew our current space,” said Pat Cotter, general manager of the Shanghai operation. “Our manufacturing and office areas were too small in (Shanghai’s) Free Trade Zone, impacting efficiency and work environments for our employees. We simply needed more room to grow.”

The new ISO 14001-certified operation provides an additional 80,000 sq. ft. of space and operates not only as a manufacturing plant, but also as sales headquarters, showroom, training facility and customer-service center. It also handles sourcing and inspecting, ensuring its products meet the same standards as those manufactured in T&S’s U.S. facilities. “We now have a true showroom and training room for our customers and product reps,” Cotter said. “The new location in Zhu Qiao will allow T&S Brass to move forward in expanding our scope of business—making our future as bright as our new facility.”
