NAFEM’s 2014 ‘Size & Shape of the Industry Study’ Available for Public Purchase

The 2014 “Size & Shape of the Industry Study,” produced every other year by the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers, is now available for purchase by the general public. The biennial study reports NAFEM member company 2013 sales in:

• Refrigeration & Ice Machines
• Serving Equipment
• Smallwares, Cookware & Kitchen Tools
• Storage & Handling Equipment
• Tabletop & Servingware
• Warewashing, Janitorial & Safety Equipment
• Furnishings, Décor & Custom Fabrication

The new study reports total market sales of $9.942 billion in 2013 with $8.240 billion from equipment and $1.702 billion from sales of smallwares and tabletop/servingware products.

Each copy comes with a new, special report from Technomic Inc. that analyzes the “Size & Shape” data, along with other industry trends and opportunities impacting equipment and supplies purchasing.

“Size & Shape” market numbers provide the base for Foodservice Equipment Reports’ annual equipment and supplies market forecasts. Current FER forecasts will be revised to reflect the new 2014 numbers within the next few weeks.
