Franklin Machine Products Acquires Duraparts

In a move that expands its portfolio of foodservice repair parts and accessories for chain restaurants and their associated franchisees, Franklin Machine Products has acquired Duraparts, the chain-focused distributor of foodservice parts and accessories.

“Our customers will benefit through significant scale advantages in product expansion and purchasing synergies,” stated Frank Gannon, Owner of Greer, S.C.-based Duraparts. “The Duraparts name will continue to be utilized by FMP, so the outstanding service that our customers enjoy today will only get better.”

“Adding Duraparts to the FMP family is incredibly exciting,” stated FMP President Mike Conte.  “The combination of Duraparts with our core business will create scale advantages for our valued customers to include better pricing and a significantly more robust product offering.”

FMP, based in Lumberton, N.J., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Diversified Foodservice Supply Inc. Helmed by CEO Mike Cate, Chicago-based DFSI is the parent of brands including AllPoints Foodservice Parts & Supplies, Mill Hardware, Restaurant Parts & More and Tundra Restaurant Supply. In February, DFSI was sold by KRG Capital Partners, a Denver-based equity firm, to New Mountain Capital, a growth-oriented investment firm. New Mountain’s senior advisor, Larry Benjamin, formerly served as CEO of US Foods.
