INTERNORGA Reports Biggest Show In Its History

Hamburg, Germany, was the place to be in mid-March for European restaurant and hospitality business leaders. INTERNORGA, March 13-18, brought together some 1,300 exhibitors from 25 nations presenting equipment and supplies innovations at the Hamburg Fair exhibition space. Tabletop exhibitors were spotlighted on a pink-carpeted skywalk table in the glass bridge connecting the exhibiting halls.

Show surveys revealed that 85% of the show’s 98,000 visitors were decision makers. “We are extremely pleased,” stated Bernd Aufderheide, President/CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH. “The response of exhibitors and visitors was more positive than ever in 2015. We had the right mix here, with numerous product premieres by our exhibitors, with international conferences and with our new formats in the supporting programme; it couldn’t be better for a leading trade show.”

The show’s international conferences attracted a record numbers of participants. More than 2,500 people attended the Int’l. Foodservice Forum, the German Institutional Catering Congress and the School Catering Forum. This year’s INTERNORGA also launched FH Nord, a new trade show for butcher and food-processing equipment.

Next year’s edition will mark INTERNORGA’s 90th anniversary. That show is slated March 11-16, once again at the Hamburg Fair site.
