Brazil Fast Food Corp. Goes Private

Brazil Fast Food Corp., the second largest QSR chain in Brazil, is going into private hands.

The company has entered into a definitive merger agreement under which Queijo Holding Corp. will acquire all of the shares that the controlling stockholders do not currently own; the cash deal values the total equity of the company at approximately US$148.3 million.

Brazil Fast Food, headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, has operates 1,257 restaurants under various brands, including Bob’s and Yoggi chains; and as a franchisee of both Yum! Brands’ KFC and Pizza Hut São Paulo, and of Gastronomia & Negocios’ Doggis concept.
