April Brought Shower Of Buying-Group Meetings

April was a month full of association and buying-group meetings for the foodservice equipment and supplies industry. We hope to have details in our next Dealer Report on a few that just concluded, including Allied Buying Corp.’s Spring Conference, April 28-30, in Memphis, Tenn.

Also held last month were Excell’s Annual Conference, April 15-18, in Cancun, Mexico; PRIDE’s Spring Conference, April 19-20, in Denver; and SEFA’s 29th Annual Partnership Conference, April 18-23, in Huntington Beach, Calif.

Int’l. Foodservice Equipment Distributors met in Dallas, April 15-17, for its Spring Conference. The group kicked off its meeting with a full day of training for IFED’s sales and engineering personnel and followed up the following day with individual growth-strategy meetings between owners and vendor principals. IFED Executive Director Mike McNeel reports around 75 members and 70 vendors were in attendance. IFED will host its Fall Conference, Oct. 14-15, in its home base of Chicago.
