ACF Names Seven New Officers

The American Culinary Federation has elected new national officers. They will begin serving their two-year terms in August.

  • President: Thomas Macrina, Product Specialist Manager- US Foods, Philadelphia
  • Secretary: Kyle Richardson, Culinary Arts Professor-Joliet Junior College, Joliet, Ill.
  • Treasurer: William Tillinghast, Director of Culinary/Pastry Programs-The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Philadelphia.
  • V.P.-Central Region: Brian Hardy, Executive Chef-The Gatesworth, St. Louis.
  • V.P.-Northeast Region: George O’Palenick, Associate Professor-Johnson & Wales University, Providence, R.I.
  • V.P.-Southeast Region: Michael Deihl, Executive Chef/Culinary Director-The Michael Deihl Group, Atlanta.
  • V.P.-Western Region: Carlton Brooks, Educator-East Valley Institute of Technology, Mesa, Ariz.
  • Michael Ty, Chef/Owner-Hospitality Culinaire, Las Vegas, will continue to serve on the board as immediate past president.

The ACF, boasting more than 17,500 members in nearly 200 chapters nationwide, operates the most comprehensive certification program for chefs in the United States.
