Chain Personnel News:

Subway has named Suzanne Greco President while her brother, Founder and CEO Fred DeLuca, battles leukemia. She now will share day-to-day operations with DeLuca, who continues to set the overall strategic direction for the company. Greco will report directly to DeLuca. Greco has been involved with the Milford, Conn., chain since it was founded in 1965; she led the research and development team for 24 years and, in 1996, helped facilitate the creation of Subway’s Independent Purchasing Cooperative. She took over the operations department in 2012 and began overseeing the marketing department earlier this year.

Chris Ciatto has been named Executive V.P. and Chief Growth Officer for TrustHouse Services Group. He reports to President/CEO Brian Poplin. In this newly created role, Ciatto will focus on corporate strategy and driving organic growth while expanding sales and marketing efforts for the Charlotte. N.C.-based contract foodservice operator. TrustHouse’s companies include Aladdin Food Management Services; AmeriServe Food Management Services; Consolidated Food Management; Fitz, Vogt & Associates; Lindley Food Service; and Summit Food Services.

Portillo’s has named Keith Kinsey, formerly Noodles & Co. president/COO, as its new CEO. Kinsey replaces Dick Portillo, who founded the 39-unit Oak Brook, Ill.-based hot-dog chain in 1963. Portillo will continue to be actively involved with the company. Kinsey had been with Noodles & Co. since 2005; prior to that, he was part of the operations team at Chipotle Mexican Grill, where he was responsible for building its West Coast region from three units to 70 units.
