The Legacy Companies Buys Bevles From Standex

The Legacy Companies, the owner of brands including Blakeslee and Kold-Draft, has acquired Bevles, the Allen, Texas-based maker of proofers, cabinets and racks, from Standex Int’l. The sale was effective June 30.

Bevles equipment is found in chains including Taco Bell, Cinnabon, and Tim Hortons. According to Neal Asbury, President/CEO of The Legacy Companies, “We are excited for the opportunity to expand Legacy’s portfolio with Bevles, a company which complements perfectly our tradition of providing quality products and services to our customers around the globe.”

Legacy’s stewardship received a thumbs-up from Anne De Greef-Safft, Group President-Standex Food Service Equipment Group. “I am pleased that Bevles will be in the hands of such an outstanding organization,” she said. “Customers that have known and trusted the Bevles brand can look forward to continued innovation and high service levels.”

Legacy, which makes its headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., comprises eight brands, including Blakeslee, Excalibur Food Dehydrators, General Food Service, Greenfield WorldTrade, Kold-Draft, Maxximum, Omega Beverage Equipment and Zeroll Smallwares.
