New CEO For US Foods

Days after the merger between Sysco Corp. and US Foods fell through, Rosemont, Ill.-based US Foods named Pietro Satriano as President and CEO. Satriano, currently US Foods chief merchandising officer, replaces John Lederer, who plans to continue as an advisor to US Foods and its board of directors.

US Foods now has a stronger financial footing thanks to a $300 million deal breakup fee from Sysco. It announced previously that it has invested millions in new technology as well as truck and building improvements. “””
