In Memoriam: Rep Jay McGonigle

Longtime MAFSI member, John “Jay” McGonigle, formerly of Boston-based The MPH Group, died July 18 in Wells, Maine.

His career as a manufacturer’s rep stretched back to the early 1970s and earned him a number of awards for excellence in the field. In 1993, alongside Don Perry and George Hilliard, he started The MPH Group, and served as president until retiring in 2005 to Florida, where he and his wife could pursue their passion for golf.

Survivors include his wife, Debra; two sons; and two grandchildren. Services have been held; burial will be held at a later date in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Ocala, Fla. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the American Lung Association, 122 State Street, Augusta, ME 04330 or Doctors Without Borders
