Wasserstrom Enters Mobile Technology Market

The nearly server-free restaurant of the future just got a little more real with some news from The Wasserstrom Co., the country’s third-largest foodservice E&S dealer.

The century-old dealer, which reported 2014 sales of $610 million, has partnered with Creating Revolutions, a maker of mobile technology for restaurants and retailers, to distribute its service pager technology. The product has a customizable system that Miami-based Creating Revolutions says increases table turnover by an average of 10 minutes, while improving workflow, reducing errors and boosting high-profit item sales. Diners slide their smartphones on a disc adhered to the table and securely communicate their requests to the server; the core hardware technology requires no Wi-Fi or Internet.

“Wasserstrom is excited to partner with Creating Revolutions,” stated Brad Wasserstrom, President of the Columbus, Ohio, dealership. “Their new service pager product is a fantastic innovation, bringing better service to the customer and up-selling opportunities to the brand as well as increased labor efficiency and management tools. We are excited to bring this to market as it is truly revolutionary.”

The companies say the item is the first of multiple products to be introduced under the partnership.
