Chefs’ Toys Expands To Sixth Southern California Location

Chefs’ Toys, one of California’s largest restaurant equipment and supplies dealers, has opened a sixth store. The new location at 231 Teller St. in Corona, Calif., is open to the professional clientele of chefs, operators, caterers and food manufacturers as well as home-cooking enthusiasts.

Chef Toys’ President Steve Dickler expressed enthusiasm for the new location. “We looked for a long time for what we think is the perfect location for this market. The Corona warehouse has helped to expand our presence in the `Inland Empire.’ The response from local restaurant and foodservice operators has been fantastic.”

With this newest location, Fountain Valley-based Chefs’ Toys also has a 34,000-sq.-ft. distribution center. In addition to the new Corona outlet, the dealer’s Orange County locations include Anaheim and Fountain Valley and Los Angeles areas stores in Torrance, Van Nuys and West Los Angeles.

“Business has exceeded our expectations since we launched in July,” says Mike Wake, Store Manager at the new Corona facility. “Like other locations, we are selling commercial refrigerators and freezers, ice machines, fryers, chefs’ knives, knife sharpening, chefs’ shoes, mats and glassware.”

Chefs’ Toys, founded in 1988, ranked 24th on FER’s most recent Top Dealers list, reporting $57.5 million in sales in 2014.
