Winterhalter’s Smart Warewasher Wins Kudos

In the run up to this week’s HOST trade fair in Milan, Winterhalter secured one of 63 Smart Label awards given to highly innovative products. The company’s PT ClimatePlus– the first rack pass-through warewasher with an integrated heat pump—was lauded by judges impressed that the unit does not heat up the kitchen but instead cools it down. Its integrated heat pump acts as an air-conditioning system by releasing cool, dry air. Existing heat is used to heat up the tank and rinse water using the hot steam from the interior of the machine as well as the room air in the kitchen. With 53% energy savings compared to a standard warewasher, the PT ClimatePlus sets standards when it comes to operating costs.
