FHA2016 To Examine Trends Driving Growth In Asia Pacific

The international food and hospitality scene never cools down, and the Asia Pacific region is hot. This is show season, and things are really heating up, with one of Asia’s premier biennial events drawing near.

Food&HotelAsia2016, or FHA2016, April 12-15 at the Singapore Expo, will bring more than 300 first-time exhibitors to the region’s most established and comprehensive food and hospitality trade show, including a host of new international group pavilion entrants. More than 3,000 exhibitors are expected overall, displaying their products for more than 65,000 attendees.

Recent studies show an additional 43 million tourists will enter the regional marketplace annually over the next 15 years and the growth of the hospitality industry and the need for technology integration underline the show’s educational opportunities. The concurrent FHA2016 International Conference will address those trends and key issues affecting the foodservice and hospitality industry.

The Conference will provide a large, influential biennial learning and networking event for the food and hospitality industry, with international experts addressing key new trends in hotel and resort management, foodservice, and food manufacturing industries. Attendees will meet, network and exchange best practices with more than 600 participants from top hotels, resorts, food manufacturing, food retailing and technology firms from across the Asia Pacific region and beyond.

Foodservice topics include creating, launching and reviving restaurant concepts; menu engineering; sustainable kitchen space design; and the Food Safety Modernization Act and its impact on regional food trade. Five new workshops and two site visits also have been incorporated into the 2016 agenda.

The show itself will feature six specialized exhibitions—FoodAsia, HotelAsia, SpecialityCoffee&Tea, Bakery&Pastry, HospitalityStyleAsia and HospitalityTechnology—each with its own unique themes and areas of focus.

The 2014 edition of FHA garnered the attention of more than 65,000 trade attendees and played host to about 3,000 exhibitors from 65 countries and regions.
