Oliver To Handle Manufacturing For Canadian Bakery Firm, Promotes Trio Of Vets

Oliver Packaging & Equipment Co. has inked an exclusive manufacturing licensing agreement with Bloemhof Inc., Kirkland, Quebec. Under the agreement, Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Oliver will become the sole manufacturer and distributor of Bloemhof’s complete bakery equipment product line worldwide. The synergy of the deal allows Oliver to provide capacity for the Canadian brand’s growth and to expand its own presence in the bakery equipment marketplace.

“This is an exciting step towards the future—representing a win-win for employees, dealers and customers of both companies. Bringing these great teams together will accelerate Oliver’s market share and strengthen the overall opportunities for both brands,” stated Oliver President Kenneth Goodwin.

“Collectively, Oliver and Bloemhof will maintain the high manufacturing and quality standards to which customers have become accustomed,” said Bloemhof President Eric Baumgartner.

Oliver also has elevated three company veterans to leadership positions at its food equipment division.

Joe Gallagher, who got his start at Oliver as a high school co-op student and most recently served as manager of new product development and director of engineering, has been named Director of Food Equipment. Frank Fuller, newly named Director of National Accounts, joined Oliver in 2014 as eastern regional sales manager. In addition to working as a territory manager for Hobart, Fuller served in the Navy for 24 years, including five years in the White House as Director of Presidential Foodservice. Mark Pierson, an 18-year company veteran, takes over as Eastern U.S. Regional Sales Manager.
