Bizerba’s New Foodservice Division Taps Griesmer As Sales Manager

Bizerba North America has announced a new Foodservice Division that will place emphasis on consultants and dealers, and offer continued customer support of corporate and franchise chains.

The changes are designed to meet consumer-driven trends in foodservice and transform how Bizerba interacts with the North American foodservice industry.

“The organizational change will drive innovative solutions to the business, further enabling us to be responsive to our foodservice customers’ needs by focusing on unique food and worker safety technologies, increased speeds for higher output, and reductions in life-cycle operating expenses for all of our customers,” says Robert Slykhuis, President/CEO-Bizerba North America.

In that vein, Bizerba has appointed industry veteran Denis Griesmer as Sales Manager-Foodservice. Griesmer brings the company his broad foodservice and manufacturing experience at companies including Hobart Corp., Enodis USA (now Manitowoc Foodservice), Ice-O-Matic, Scotsman Ice Systems and Globe Food Equipment Co.

“Denis will lead one of the largest and most complex business segments,” says Robert Weisz, v.p.-Retail. “His division will be responsible for gaining market position for multiple products, including food preparation, sous vide vacuum packaging, baking equipment, and price computing scales. We are excited to have Denis part of our team and grow the foodservice sector tremendously.”

Bizerba’s manufacturing portfolio includes slicing, processing, weighing, cashing, checking, commissioning and labeling products. Founded in 1866, the German company is family-owned and headquartered in Balingen, Baden Wuerttemberg; sales, service and production facilities are located in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain, China and the U.S.
