Angelo Po Acquired By Marmon Group

Angelo Po, the Italian foodservice/catering equipment maker, was acquired in June by Marmon Italia, Parent company Marmon Holdings, a Berkshire Hathaway company, purchased 100% of the Italian company from owners Rossella Po, Alessandro Po, and Livio Gialdini.

The acquisition creates technological, production and commercial synergies for both companies. The 94-year-old, Modena-based Angelo Po manufactures a broad range of products, from horizontal and vertical cooking ranges to food preservation systems. Marmon’s brands include Prince Castle and Silver King food preparation equipment, Cornelius beverage dispensing equipment, and EcoWater and KX Technologies water purification equipment.

Angelo Po’s production will be maintained at its plants in Carpi and Ascoli Piceno. Massimo Aleardi, Sector President in Marmon Food, Beverage & Water Technologies, has been named as Angela Po’s new CEO. Rossella Po will continue as Executive President and will collaborate with Marmon in determining Angelo Po’s strategic direction. Currently, the group employs 450 people with three production units in Italy and four foreign branches (China, France, Spain and the U.S.).
