Camacho Associates, Restaurant Design Service Merge

Two major foodservice consulting firms, Atlanta-based Camacho Associates and Restaurant Design Service, have joined together their organizations, aiming to create a stronger, more competitive company. The merger brings together 112 years of experience designing commercial kitchens and laundries. The combined company will operate be headquartered in Atlanta, with offices in Charlotte, N.C., and Eufaula, Ala., where Restaurant Design Service is located.

James Camacho, President, stated, “Combining our firms made perfect sense. We’ve increased the diversity of our skill sets to offer a higher experience level needed to grow our business model. Our ultimate goal is to bring our clients the best solutions to meet their culinary needs for any facility.”

Camacho is currently Chair of the FCSI – The Americas and serves on the worldwide board. Camacho Associates was established in 1962.

Restaurant Design Service, helmed by Louise Howard, was founded in Portland, Ore., in 1985, moved to Alexandria, Va., in 1992, and has been headquartered in Eufaula, Ala., since 1996.
