Tom Szafranski Joins Heritage To Helm Commercial Business Development

Heritage Foodservice Group has hired industry veteran Tom Szafranski as Executive V.P.- Commercial Business Development.  Szafranski is directing the Chain, Service Agent and International business units for Heritage Parts U.S.  He also is taking the lead in orchestrating the Fort Wayne, Ind., organization’s OEM engagement initiatives.

Most recently, Szafranski served as President of ITW Food Equipment Group Commercial Sales-North America.  In that capacity, he drove a $765 million commercial operation responsible for all sales of the Hobart, Traulsen, Vulcan, Wolf, Baxter and Berkel branded products in the United States, as well as those of Hobart’s Canadian operations. 

Szafranski started his 32-year career in the foodservice industry right out of college when he joined Hobart Corp. as a dealer representative in Columbia, S.C.  He progressed through a series of positions, including national account rep-food retail; sales development manager-food machines division; national accounts manager-business & institutions; director of national accounts; v.p.-strategic accounts; and v.p.-sales-Hobart Foodservice division, before being named president of ITW FEG.
