Component Hardware Buys Food Service Parts

Lakewood, N.J.-based Component Hardware Group has acquired the hardware and related business of Food Service Parts (aka John S. Dull and Associates), the Garden Grove, Calif., supplier of CHG’s branded parts to the commercial foodservice and plumbing markets throughout the western regions of the United States.

The company—now known as Component Hardware Group West—will service all current FSP foodservice customers while expanding coverage westward to OEMs, fabricators, and wholesales plumbers. FSP President Jim Whithorne will continue operating the remaining enterprises of John S. Dull and Associates.

“The acquisition of Food Service Parts further strengthens our leadership position in the foodservice hardware and commercial plumbing markets in North America,” says Ed Whartnaby, executive v.p.-sales and marketing at CHG.

Harry Franze, CHG President/CEO, commented that “it has been apparent for quite some time that bringing us together with the team Jim had built would provide Component Hardware Group with a great growth platform in one of our key North American markets.”

CHG West will continued to be headquartered at the Garden Grove facility until early next year. “We will be moving to a new facility that will effectively double our warehousing operations and allow for easier access to customers in the western U.S.,” says Franze.
