Alto-Shaam Golf Outing Raises Funds For Cancer Research

Alto-Shaam is donating $127,500 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society following its annual Jerry Maahs Memorial Golf Outing, held in August in Wisconsin. The event, which brings together employees, dealers, and vendors to honor the legacy of Alto-Shaam’s founder, Jerry Maahs, raises money to fund cancer research. Maahs died of aggressive non-Hodgkin Lymphoma 10 years ago.

Since the event’s inception eight years ago, Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based Alto-Shaam has raised more than $485,000. Each gold outing includes a corporate match for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Jerry Maahs Memorial Golf Outing is the largest third-party fundraiser for the organization.

“It’s been very fulfilling to see how engaged our employees and partners have been in putting on this golf outing in memory of my dad,” said Steve Maahs, President of Alto-Shaam. “It’s an outstanding tribute to him.”
