Emerson E360 Forum Addresses Latest Industry Concerns

In an event focused on regulatory challenges in HVACR industry, St. Louis-based Emerson hosted its tenth day-long E360 Forum in Newark, N.J., in August. More than 100 commercial refrigeration industry stakeholders attended and garnered insights on food retail and foodservice regulatory concerns and emerging trends.

The E360 Forum featured a keynote session from Jon Melchi, v.p.-government affairs and business development at Heating Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI). Melchi provided context regarding the degree to which the active regulatory climate is shaping the industry, including the 25 major rules targeted at the HVACR industry since the beginning of the Obama Administration, totaling a cumulative financial impact of roughly $76.6 billion in costs to the industry.

Other sessions dug deeper into regulatory challenges as well as certification programs to help the industry adapt to the changing refrigerant landscape, including the global efforts to phase down HFC refrigerants, and the consumer demand for fresh offerings and its impact on both large and small retail formats.

Video recordings of the E360 Forum sessions can be viewed here. Recorded sessions include the following:

  • How Can Refrigeration Architecture Help Improve Operating Efficiencies?
