REMAGEN MARKS 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Remagen Foodservice Solutions, a family-owned and operated E&S distributor, celebrated a half-century in business on Oct. 1.

The Eaton, Ohio, company was founded in 1961 by Richard H. Tuggle in an 80-sq.-ft. milkhouse at his farm. His son, John, assumed the post of president in 1972. Originally known as St. Clair Supply Co., the firm split into two companies in 2004; the E&S branch adopted the name Remagen to honor Tuggle, who led a tank battalion at the famed bridge during World War II.

The St. Clair cleaning supplies business was sold in 2006. Today, Remagen is a tri-state regional presence, covering its home state, most of Indiana and northern Kentucky.
