Publishing executive Randy Hano has been appointed Senior V.P.-Media at Wolters-Althoff Investments, parent company of Foodservice Equipment Reports. He will work closely with WAI’s publishing group to develop synergies with other WAI properties, to expand FER’s digital and print product offerings, and to continue the strong year-over-year growth FER has been experiencing.  Hano’s background includes extensive time in senior management roles at both newspaper and magazine companies, including Boston and Chicago magazines, Time Out Chicago, and Modern Luxury publications.

“Few media companies in today’s day and age are willing to invest in their publication’s future.  I am excited to be working with WAI and Robin Ashton, Publisher and Founder of FER, as we double down on this market-leading brand” says Hano. “Couple this push with the previously announced increase in circulation, expanded digital and event offerings, and the recent redesign,” he adds, “it is no wonder FER’s advertising base has come to us looking to capitalize on a more complete 360-degree approach.”

“We are very pleased that Randy has joined our team,” states WAI CEO Bob Wolters. “He clearly sees the power of the FER brand and incredible growth opportunities we have ahead.  I look forward to working with Randy and playing off his expertise as we expand FER’s product line and dominance in this vibrant and growing marketplace.”
