Advance Tabco has opened a new manufacturing facility in DeKalb, Miss. The facility is the second in the town of DeKalb and Advance Tabco’s tenth nationwide. The 40,000 sq. ft. plant will focus on the growth of the Edgewood, N.Y., company’s custom fabrication and its food shields. “We chose to expand where we have been successful for over 20 years and have been fortunate to add to our already talented team of individuals,” says President and CEO Penny Hutner.

 

LTI Inc. has named Chance Hunt as its new Product Manager. The Jonesboro, Ga., maker of serving counters says Hunt will play an integral role in product development and opening up new markets for its existing products. Hunt has more than 20 years’ experience in the foodservice equipment industry, including various roles in design engineering, sales, product line management, and national account management at Randell/Unified Brands.

 

Barry McGowan has succeeded Larry Johnson as Fogo de Chao’s CEO. The appointment comes less than a year after the once publicly held Dallas-based chain was purchased by private-equity firm Rhone Capital. Johnson served as CEO for 11 years, growing it from 11 units in the U.S. and Brazil in 2007 to 51 global restaurants today.

 

Dunkin’ Brands has tapped 16-year company veteran John Varughese to lead business outside the U.S. as its new Senior V.P.-International. Varughese, previously v.p.-international, is credited with launching new international store designs at both Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins, and facilitating 150 new store openings in 10 countries. Dunkin’ also named Jonathan Biggs as V.P.-Operations, Baskin-Robbins U.S. & Canada. Biggs, a 10-year Dunkin’ veteran, assumes operational responsibility for more than 2,600 Baskin-Robbins shops. He previously led field operations and new market entry for western expansion, and guided brand initiatives across technology, product and equipment platforms. Rick Gestring joins Dunkin' after nearly a decade in multiple roles at Arby's Restaurant Group; as the new V.P.-Operating Systems and Restaurant Experience for Dunkin’, he’ll oversee developing, implementing, managing and continuously improving the restaurant management systems, equipment, procedures and tools.

 

Electrolux Professional has assigned Professional Reps-Midwest to rep its product lines in MAFSI Region 6 – Michigan and Indiana and MAFSI Region 7 – Mid-America, including Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and western Pennsylvania.

 

A new rep group, Helix Solutions Group, has been established in MAFSI’s Region 7. The firm, co-founded by Neal Hix and Greg Oplinger, is located in Fairlawn, Ohio.
