M&A News For Some Familiar Brands

Carlisle

No big announcement was made last fall, but those strolling the aisles at The NAFEM Show might have noticed some rebranding of a few familiar companies. Carlisle FoodService Products, San Jamar, Dinex, Sparta Brush and Marko are now under a newly created parent company, CFS Brands.

Also new under the CFS Brands umbrella are Snap Drape Brands, the Carrollton, Texas, provider of foodservice skirting and linens, acquired in November; and Dr. John’s Labs, maker of the point-of-use utensil Sani Station, acquired in December and folded into San Jamar’s product portfolio.

“The vision of CFS Brands is to build the strongest platform of leading brands for light equipment and supplies to the foodservice, healthcare and janitorial markets,” according to CFS Brands President and CEO Trent Freiberg. “The introduction of CFS Brands offers unifying benefits to customers and sets the stage for future acquisitions.”

CFS Brands office headquarters and existing Carlisle FoodService Products factories remain in Oklahoma City, Okla. Carlisle, which got its start in 1955 as Continental Plastics, acquired Sparta Brush in 1994, Marko in 1999, Dinex in 2008, San Jamar in 2017. The Jordan Co. acquired Carlisle in March 2018.
