FEDA Establishes CFSP, ServSafe Scholarships

The emphasis on enhancing dealer education and professionalism continues to be a priority for the Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association. The FEDA Education Foundation has announced it will award 30 scholarships for each of the industry’s most highly regarded certification programs: the Certified Foodservice Professional and ServSafe certifications.

FEDA, a strong backer of both programs, is encouraging its membership to pursue CFSP or ServSafe certification this year. When they do, dealers are eligible to apply for the scholarships, which will reimburse fees for certifications earned in 2012.

The CFSP scholarship will provide $200 and the ServSafe scholarship $100 towards reimbursement of certification fees. All checks will be made out to the applicant’s employing organization, unless FEDA is otherwise notified by the president/owner of the company.

The FEDA Education Foundation also offers scholarships to the University of Industrial Distribution program. More information on all of these scholarships is available from FEDA’s offices: 800/677-9605.
