Alto-Shaam Achieves Top ISO 9001 Certification

On the heels of winning Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year honors, Alto-Shaam has achieved a global high point by reaching ISO 9001:2015 certification.

The Menomonee Falls, Wis., company undertook the initiative two years ago to advance its processes in order to meet an increasingly demanding economy. It began by creating a quality management system (QMS), including documenting processes across every department and identifying accountable owners. Quality Engineer/QMS Manager Nick Wagner led the effort to achieve the international standard that demonstrates the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

The certification, received in August, was a strategic objective for Alto-Shaam, which has doubled its business in the past five years. “This is just the beginning,” says company President Steve Maahs. “We will continuously improve as we strive toward the highest quality products and services for our customers. This tool helps us conduct best practices as we listen to our customers’ needs.”
