Antunes Begins Work On Expanding Manufacturing Facility

Antunes broke ground in October on an expansion of its manufacturing facility in Carol Stream, Ill. The expansion will add approximately 55,000 sq.ft. to the company’s headquarters there, and additional space will accommodate several advancements to Antunes’ operation, including doubling the size of the engineering lab and sheet metal fabrication area, as well as constructing a state-of-the-art water treatment lab. Additionally, the company is adding an on-site medical clinic for team members and converting to an open office concept to encourage more collaboration. The manufacturing expansion is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.

“As an industry leader, we are committed to having the operational capabilities to keep up with our customers’ growing needs,” said Antunes CEO Glenn Bullock. “This expansion not only allows us to reconfigure our manufacturing layout to increase capacity, but also gives us more resources to expand our product lines in order to provide solutions to our existing and potential customers.”

The family-owned company, specializing in countertop cooking and water filtration solutions, was established in 1955 and since that time has occupied six different locations. The current company headquarters was built in 1998.
