Hard Rock Opens Japan Office

Thirty-four years after opening its first café in Tokyo, the Orlando, Fla., chain has launched  Hard Rock Japan to support its growth throughout Asia. Edward Tracy has been named CEO. Hard Rock currently has six locations operating in Japan, one of the 74 countries where it has a footprint. The chain has 175 cafes, 24 hotels and 11 casinos in cities including London, New York, San Francisco, Sydney and Dubai. Upcoming Hard Rock Café locations include Valencia, Spain; Innsbruck, Austria; and Yangon and Chengdu, China. Hotel projects underway range from Atlanta and New York to Abu Dhabi; Berlin; Dubai; London; Los Cabos, Mexico; and Shenzhen, Dalian and Haikou in China.
