Brazil’s Fispal Food Service Show Hits High Notes

Last month’s 34th annual edition of Fispal Food Service in Brazil was a huge success for Fispal show organizers and the nearly 500 exhibitors set up to show off their goods and services.

The June 12-15 international fair of products and services for food away from home pulled in a crowd of nearly 52,000 industry professionals to Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, far exceeding show organizers’ expectations.

Attendees from Brazilian states and fellow Latin American countries had access to nearly 1,500 brands displayed by 473 exhibitors that presented solutions, launches and innovations for restaurants, pizzerias, coffee shops, bakeries, bars, caterers, merchants, hotels, distributors, ice cream vendors, cafeterias, and other foodservice establishments.

“We are very happy with the turnout and the business that was generated by our exhibitors,” says Clélia Iwaki, director of Informa Exhibitions. “We are already working on innovations for 2019; that edition will be more special because we are going to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Fispal.”

Besides being a space for business and networking, the trade show was an exclusive source for sharing information and know-how through lectures, debates and successful case histories. The Forum Gestão à Mesa, held in partnership with Abrasel, brought together more than 450 participants for professional updating, and the Arena a La Carte conferences mobilized a large part of the participants who had free access to a wide variety of topics, from business management to tips for handling ingredients.

The next Fispal Food Service show is June 11-14, 2019 at São Paulo Expo.
