Enthusiasm Permeates Fispal Food Service Show

What a summer for Brazil: The World Cup and the 30th edition of Fispal Food Service. The show, June 24-27 at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, beat all expectations, according to organizers. More than 51,300 visitors walked the exhibit aisles to see the latest trends in foodservice equipment, utensils and services for restaurants, bars, pizza parlors, cake shops, bakeries and buffet services. More than 1,400 brands were on display.

The show’s long tradition as Latin America’s biggest foodservice show attracted quality buyers, despite the World Cup factor that threatened to detract from it; a number of exhibitors expanded their booth areas in anticipation of strong crowds.

Fispal Food Service presented parallel events during each day of the show. Highlights include the Fifth Brazilian Pizza Cup, as well as lectures, educational sessions and award ceremonies. Two other trade shows—Fispal Sorvetes (ice-cream parlor) and Fispal Café coffee shop)—ran concurrently and saw stronger than expected interest.

Next year’s edition of Fispal Food Service is scheduled for June 9-15, 2015 in São Paulo.
