BEAR Varimixer Celebrates 100th Anniversary

One hundred years on and there are more than 150,000 Bear Varimixers working away in bakeries and commercial kitchens in 70 countries around the world. The solid, hardworking mixer first was designed by Danish mechanic Palle Hoff Wodschow, who had the inspiration to create a mixer where the tools rotated in the bowl like planets around a star. The Varimixer’s success continues thanks to a century of insight into user requirements, good design and solid, Danish craftsmanship. The mixers—including the Kodiak, the newest model—live up to the company’s slogan, “Strong as a Bear.”

Not only are they strong, they are designed to be user-friendly, hygienic and ergonomic. Models range in volume from 5-200 liters, and include editions specially developed for pizza production, and for use on ships and drilling platforms and places where ergonomics is emphasized.
