Healthcare Foodservice Duo Found Consulting Firm

Sharon Cox, formerly AVP of Carolina Health System, and Crystal Duncan, formerly Director of National Distribution Sales at Georgia Pacific, have established Cox Duncan Network, a consulting-execution firm based in Charlotte, N.C.

Both women bring more than 30 years’ experience to CDN, which leverages the partners’ expertise in food safety, food management, health and nutrition. Cox, a veteran of the healthcare foodservice industry has served as president of the Health Foodservice Management Association, and been deeply involved with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In 2007, she received an honorary doctorate of foodservice from NAFEM in 2007.

Duncan’s career includes expertise in foodservice operations and food safety compliance and spans positions at Georgia Pacific, US Foods and Sodexo. She has served for 17 years in an advisory capacity for the 3,000-member Women’s Foodservice Forum and is a member of Association for Healthcare Foodservice, which she chaired 2014-15.
