Del Frisco’s To Acquire Barteca

Del-Frisco2

With a for sale sign already hanging on its Sullivan’s Steakhouse concept, Del Frisco’s acquisition of Barteca Restaurant Group for $325 million in cash reinforces its pivot towards the upscale casual segment. Barteca owns Barcelona, a 15-unit upscale casual-dining chain specializing in Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine, and 16-unit Bartaco, which serves “upscale street food” with South American, Mediterranean and Asian flavors. There are 25 Del Frisco's Grill locations, 13 Double Eagle locations, and 15 Sullivan's steakhouses, mostly situated in major cities in the Northeast.
