CraftWorks Acquires Logan’s Roadhouse

CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries, owner of Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, has acquired the 204-unit Logan’s Roadhouse.

In the deal, announced November 1, Logan’s CEO, Hazem Ouf, will lead the combined company, which will be rebranded as CraftWorks Holdings and will operate 390 casual-dining restaurants and breweries in 40 states. Ouf, a turnaround expert with more than 35 years of industry experience, joined the chain as CEO in January 2017, shortly after Logan’s emerged from bankruptcy protection.

The new CraftWorks Holdings will have a hand in full-service dining, craft beer, and restaurant-brewery industries through its portfolio of Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, Rock Bottom Restaurants and Breweries, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurants, and Logan’s.

CraftWorks, based in Broomfield, Colo., is owned by the private-equity firm Centerbridge Partners.
