FER Appoints New Editor-in-Chief

Kelly Killian has been named Editor-in-Chief and Chief Content Officer of FER Media, publisher of Foodservice Equipment Reports, effective February 4. She will report to President and Publisher Randy Hano.

Killian will lead the editorial team and freelance writers in creating best-in-class content for FER’s print and digital channels. She also will set the editorial vision for FER Media through the rapid growth and evolution of its product offerings, including its in-house digital agency and content marketing group.

Killian is a B2B media powerhouse, having steered the award-winning redesigns of Restaurant Business and FoodService Director in her previous role as director of the Foodservice Content Group at Winsight LLC. Her experience also includes launching branded content programs for agencies such as Imagination and Pace Communications.

“To say Kelly is a veteran of the foodservice industry would be an understatement,” said Hano. “She brings a passion and expertise that will serve our audience and our company well and help to accelerate FER’s growth and dominance as a market leader.”

The addition of Killian to the editorial team demonstrates a continued commitment by FER Media and its parent company Wolters-Althoff Investments to the future of the media brand. Recent investments include an increase in circulation, enhanced digital and event offerings and a revamped industry awards program.
