Denny’s Corporation announced a major refresh in its leadership today. The moves, which become official next week, include promoting current CFO Mark Wolfinger to president, replacing John Miller in that role. Miller, however, will continue to serve as the company's CEO.

Wolfinger has served as executive vice president and chief administrative officer since April 2008 and CFO since joining Denny’s in 2005.  He will also continue to serve as a member of the Denny Corporation’s Board of Directors.

Additionally, Robert Verosteck, senior vice president of finance, will become the new CFO. Senior vice president and chief brand officer John Dillon will now be an executive vice president.

“These key leadership changes represent the culmination of a multi-year planning process,” said Brenda Lauderback, Denny’s board chairwoman.  “As chief executive officer, John Miller will continue to focus on our brand revitalization initiatives through his strategic and visionary leadership, while Mark Wolfinger will become more involved with broader aspects of daily business operations as president.”

John Miller has been chief executive officer and president since joining Denny’s in 2011, the company said.

Based in Spartanburg, S.C.-based, Denny’s has 1,703 franchised, licensed, and company restaurants around the world.
