Air Curtain Maker Airs HQ Expansion Plans
The company’s expanded Pennsylvania facility will support a 150% increase in production capacity.

Air curtain manufacturer Berner Int’l. will add 55,000 square feet of new production space, plus create 70 new jobs, when it expands its headquarters in New Castle, Pa.
Construction is set to begin this summer and conclude in early 2026. Operations could commence as soon as Q2 of next year.
Berner says the expansion, which doubles its manufacturing footprint in New Castle, will enable it to meet growing global demand across North America, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
The expansion will incorporate sustainable design elements including LED lighting and energy-efficient HVAC and air movement systems. It also will allow for future automation and advanced manufacturing integration, says Berner.
The project is expected to cost over $15 million—about 30% of which is covered by the PA First Grant program, Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority financing and workforce development incentives.
As operations scale, Berner says it plans to continue investing in employee training and upskilling programs, including apprenticeships, to ensure its workforce is prepared for a more automated and technically advanced manufacturing future.
In other news, Berner recently received the 2025 Enterprise Award from the Green Building Alliance for its sustainable manufacturing, which includes a rooftop solar array, operational waste reduction and producing products that save energy and create healthy, comfortable environments.
