Ali Group Acquires Bunn Commercial

BUNN, a manufacturer of dispensed beverage equipment, will operate in North America as part of the Welbilt portfolio.

Ali Group announced March 12 that it has acquired Bunn Commercial (BUNN), a manufacturer of dispensed beverage equipment based in Springfield, Ill. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. In North America, BUNN will operate as part of the Welbilt portfolio.

“The acquisition of BUNN marks an important step in strengthening Ali Group’s leadership in the global coffee and beverage equipment sector and advancing our long term growth strategy,” says Filippo Berti, Ali Group chairman and CEO, in the release. “BUNN brings a strong heritage, a culture of innovation and a highly complementary portfolio that expands our global capabilities. Together, we are well positioned to deliver even greater value to our customers and accelerate growth across key markets.”

Ali Group, headquartered in Chicago with a European corporate office in Milan, Italy, has more than 115 global brands and employes about 17,000 people in over 30 countries. It operates 80 manufacturing facilities in 16 countries, with sales and service subsidiaries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America, South America and Asia Pacific.
