Alto-Shaam will open a manufacturing facility in India this year. Situated in Pune, Maharashtra, the facility will enable the manufacturer to better serve new and existing customers, the release says. The facility will include manufacturing, office and warehouse space.

To support the expansion, Alto-Shaam has made several hires. It promoted JK Raghavan to senior vice president of global supply chain and international manufacturing operations, and added three leadership roles to oversee quality, supply chain and manufacturing teams and ensure the smooth running of the business.

Steve Maahs, CEO at Alto-Shaam, says in the release that the facility enables Alto-Shaam to provide on-the-ground support for customers in India, and a closer reach to global partners. “India is a market that has continued to grow for us, and this new facility is the next step in supporting our global vision for Alto-Shaam,” Maahs says. “We are confident that through this expansion we will be able to reach more of our key customers due to the many strong potentials this market holds for our business.”
