Barrio Burrito Bar Inks 110-Unit Deal in Georgia
The Toronto-based brand has surpassed 1,000 committed franchise units in the U.S.

Toronto-based BurritoBar USA, a fast-casual Mexican food franchise, has inked a master franchise agreement that will lead to the opening of 110 Barrio Burrito Bar restaurants in Georgia.
Barrio Burrito Bar entered the U.S. in 2020 under the name BURRITOBAR and rebranded in 2024. It focuses on offering fresh, high-quality ingredients, daily prepared meats and homemade salsas.
The company says its franchise development in the U.S. has played a key part in its North American growth strategy. Its Canadian affiliate, barBURRITO, has over 360 locations in that country.
“Our expansion in the U.S. has been incredible,” says Jeff Young, chief development officer, in the release. “The accelerated franchise program continues to yield outstanding results, with Master Franchise agreements signed in Michigan, Florida, Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, Iowa, Nebraska, North Texas, South Illinois, North Illinois, Ohio, New Jersey, West Virginia, Louisiana, and now Georgia. … With this latest agreement, we have now surpassed 1,000 contractually committed franchise units in the U.S., marking a significant milestone for the brand.”
Founder and CEO Alex Shtein adds, “We are thrilled to welcome our new franchise partners to the Barrio Burrito Bar family and congratulate them on becoming our Master Franchisees for Georgia.”
