This week, industry analyst Black Box Intelligence announced its acquisition of Yumpingo, a guest experience management and survey platform.

The addition accelerates BBI’s vision of building an “AI Command Center for Restaurants,” it says, integrating guest experience management, guest sentiment, operational performance, and workforce and financial intelligence into one platform. The add-on also adds to Black Box Intelligence’s geographic reach beyond the U.S., adding Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Australasia.

Black Box’s AI-driven platform, Performance Intelligence, which launched in February, also will benefit from the integration of Yumpingo’s technology.

“By integrating Yumpingo’s guest experience technology, we are taking a major step forward in helping restaurants optimize performance across every aspect of their business,” says Mark Dillon, CEO of Black Box Intelligence, in a release. “This will enable us to feed our proprietary restaurant-trained AI technology with even deeper, quality data in larger quantities for even more informed decision making and prioritization.”
