Chick-fil-A Grows Footprint in Canada
The brand builds on last year’s growth in Alberta with five to seven locations slated for British Columbia.

Chick-fil-A has made its next move in Canada.
The QSR brand has announced plans to expand to British Columbia, with five to seven new restaurants expected to open in the province by 2030.
In 2024, Chick-fil-A expanded into Alberta, opening three restaurants in Calgary and Edmonton.
“We are excited about the opportunity to bring an authentic Chick-fil-A experience to guests in British Columbia, where local Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators will create hundreds of new jobs, and invest in their teams and local communities,” says Jessica Sisk Roehle, director of restaurant development in Canada for Chick-fil-A, in the release. “The incredible reception Chick-fil-A received when we expanded into Alberta this past year really energized us as we planned our next steps in Canada. British Columbia has a number of vibrant, thriving communities across the province that makes it such a great place for us to grow.”
Chick-fil-A plans to open its first restaurant in British Columbia by early 2028. It also plans to open a record eight restaurants across Ontario and Alberta in 2025, marking the most openings in Canada in any year since the first Chick-fil-A restaurant opened in 2019. Chick-fil-A has opened 22 restaurants in Canada over the past five years.
Chick-fil-A oversees more than 3,000 restaurants across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. In 2023, it shared plans to expand into Europe and Asia.
