Swig has signed a multiunit franchise agreement with experienced franchisee James Laskaris, his brother Spiro Laskaris and business partner Stephen Attard to expand across Southern Florida.

The 25-unit deal accelerate Swig’s growth in Florida, with new units planned for areas including Port St. Lucie, Palm Beach and Stuart.

Laskaris has decades of restaurant experience, having grown up working in his family’s South Florida diner. He began franchising in 2001 with Dunkin’ and later expanded into Georgia in 2006 alongside business partner Stephen Attard, notes the press release. Today, the group operates 80 Dunkin’ locations, 11 Baskin-Robbins restaurants, as well as multiple Zaxby’s and Jimmy John’s units. Spiro Laskaris, James’ brother, also built his own concept, Spiro’s Taverna, a growing Greek brand with seven locations across Florida.

Founded in 2010 in St. George, Utah, Swig has blossomed from a single drive-thru concept to a brand with over 150 locations across 16 states.
