Easy Ice Acquires Third-Generation Business
The addition of the family-owned company enables Easy Ice to further expand in the Lone Star State.
Ice machine rental provider Easy Ice has scooped up Wholesale Supply, a Longview, Texas-based company that sells, leases and services commercial ice machines.
“Our family has had the privilege of serving the East Texas community for the last 60 years, and we feel extremely blessed to have found a company like Easy Ice to pass the torch onto,” state Ashley Green and Chase Bullard, current operators and grandchildren of the founder, in a press release. “Easy Ice has extensive industry experience, but also shares the same values, integrity, and commitment to customer service. We look forward to seeing Easy Ice continue the legacy of our family business well into the future.”
Easy Ice Chief Acquisition Officer Darren Boruff says Wholesale Supply “is a great addition to Easy Ice as [it continues] to expand in Texas, increase density and enhance the customer experience.”
Easy Ice, founded in 2009, already supplies the Lone Star State, having expanded “significantly” in 2020, when it acquired Mission Restaurant Supply’s ice machine leasing division. Last year, it also acquired Lufkin, Texas-based Derby Ice Co. Now, the company says it expects to seamlessly integrate Wholesale Supply customers into its Texas operations.
Currently, Easy Ice—which this year also strengthened it presence in Florida and North Carolina—has over 33,000 ice machines under management across 47 states.
