Expansion Roundup: Twin Peaks Hits Milestone, Plus 2 More Brands Make Plans

Three restaurant brands are expanding in various ways, with one hitting a milestone, and two more aiming to open multiple locations by the end of the year. Here’s a look at Twin Peaks, Wings and Rings and Eggs Up Grill.

Twin Peaks reached a new growth milestone in Q2 when it opened its 100th lodge, located in the Indianapolis suburb of Greenwood, Ind. Twin Peaks said July 28 it was set to reach 103 locations before the end of July and plans to open eight more restaurants in several new markets before the end of the year. The brand anticipates expanding its footprint to 200 lodges by 2027.

Wings and Rings, the 85-unit restaurant and bar franchise, continues to grow, expanding to open additional locations. Three new locations are opening soon: Frankfort, Ky.; Harlingen, Texas; and Reynosa, Mexico. Next year, as the brand celebrates its 40th birthday, it has slated another three to five restaurants. The brand looks to open in Ohio, Indiana, Florida and Kentucky.

Eggs Up Grill has had a record-breaking year in both new restaurant openings and development commitments. So far, eight restaurants have opened in 2023 with another 10 to 12 under development for openings through year-end. Year-to-date, Eggs Up Grill has signed on 10 new franchise groups, adding more than 30 restaurants to its development pipeline. It currently operates 67 locations.
