The Pacific Northwest marks a key market for the rapidly growing brand, it says.

On May 30, Jollibee will make its Oregon debut as it opens a unit in Hillsboro.

The restaurant will offer its signature bone-in fried chicken and more via dine-in, take-out and drive-thru service, plus launch online ordering in the coming weeks. Besides fried chicken, the chain’s menu also includes chicken sandwiches, burgers and, for dessert, offerings like ube pie, which has proven popular in Southeast Asia.

“We are very excited to continue expanding our footprint in the Pacific Northwest with the opening of our very first Jollibee in the State of Oregon; it has been a dream for a long time, and we’re thrilled to finally make it a reality in Hillsboro,” says Maribeth Dela Cruz, business group head of Honeybee Foods Corporation dba Jollibee, in a release. “The Portland metro area has a vibrant food scene that embraces international flavors, so we can’t wait to introduce our joyfully unique dining experience to the area’s residents and visitors, especially those seeking new and exciting culinary experiences.”

Jollibee was founded in the Philippines over four decades ago. By 2028, it aims to become a $1 billion business, with North American growth being key to the goal. Along with the Portland metro area, Jollibee plans to open in new and existing markets, with cities like San Francisco and Queens, New York, on the horizon.
