In honor of its 75th anniversary, Milwaukee-based foodservice equipment manufacturer Hatco donated $75,000 to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin earlier this month. NAFEM matched the manufacturer’s contribution for a grand total of $150,000, which will provide nearly 600,000 meals to families in need.

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin procures food from local farmers, retailers and manufacturers, then sorts, repacks and distributes it to hunger relief programs in 35 counties, notes the release.

“On behalf of the employee owners of Hatco, we are honored to support Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin in their mission to fight hunger,” says Lorne Deacon, president and CEO of Hatco Corp. “A milestone like this is more than just a celebration; it is about gratitude and giving back to the communities in which we operate. Hatco has always been dedicated to foodservice, and ensuring people have access to meals is a meaningful way to honor our legacy.”
